Russian and Syrian Foreign Ministers hold talks in Damascus

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is currently holding talks in Damascus with his Syrian counterpart Walid Muallem. This was reported on September 7 by TASS. It is also clarified that the meeting of the foreign ministers of the two states is held in a closed regime for representatives of the press. In addition, earlier the foreign ministers of Russia and Syria took part in a meeting with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. At the same time, it is expected that a joint press conference will be held later by Sergei Lavrov, Walid Muallem and Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov. According to the news agency, earlier Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived in the Syrian capital on a visit.
