Got into the airflow: how the Shenandoah airship died
On September 3, 1925, Shenandoah, one of the largest rigid airships of the time, crashed in the United States. Once in the thunderstorm zone, it fell into several parts and collapsed to the ground. 14 team members were killed, 29 people survived. Before the arrival of the military, looters operated at the crash site.
