Uzbekistan to receive grant to improve diagnostics of plant diseases


China will provide Uzbekistan with a grant to modernize the laboratories of the state inspection of plant quarantine, the publication Podrobno.uz reports on August 31. Under the grant, it is planned to purchase laboratory equipment in the amount of $2.9 million. Technical equipment of laboratories is provided in Andijan, Namangan and Tashkent regions. The reconstruction of laboratories will improve the diagnosis of crop diseases and increase the effectiveness of disease prevention measures. In addition, the results of the study will be quickly obtained.
