Coronavirus in Albania: 146 carriers were identified per day. 6 patients died

The Albanian Ministry of Health on Friday, August 14, reported that over the past 24 hours, a survey of 639 people in the country revealed 146 carriers of coronavirus. For the second day in a row, the detected number of infections becomes the highest daily figure in the history of observations. At the same time, another 79 people were recognized as cured. This was reported by the Albanian news agency Telegrafi. According to the ministry, a total of 7,117 cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Albania. 3,695 people have already been cured of COVID-19. 219 patients died from complications caused by COVID-19. According to official figures, 3203 people are receiving treatment in the country. Around 1,600 family therapists supervise treatment at home. The largest number of active cases of infection is in Tirana, Durres, Shkodra, Lege, Vlora and Fier. The most affected by coronavirus are persons aged 55 to 64 years, in second place are those aged 25 to 34 years. According to official figures, 115 patients with COVID-19 are in inpatient treatment in two hospitals, 16 of them are undergoing intensive therapy and five are connected to IVL devices. However, medical doctor Marieta Dervishi from the hospital Shefchet Ndrochi stated that approximately 210 people were being treated in their hospital alone, which means that in fact more than 300 patients with COVID-19 are in Albanian hospitals.
