Decision on opening the border of Georgia may be revised - Ministry of Health

The decision to open the border of Georgia for communication with five EU countries may soon be revised in the event of a deterioration in the epidemiological situation. This was announced on July 8 by the Minister of Health of Georgia Ekaterina Tikaradze, the agency InterpretssNews reports. "Every week we will monitor the situation, what results we will get. With the EU countries will be discussed again what the next steps will be. Based on this, changes will be made to the decision made today, said Tikaradze. She noted that the Ministry of Health will monitor the workload of medical beds in the country, combined with the prevalence rate of coronavirus over the past two weeks. If the epidemiological situation becomes worse, then restrictions may be introduced. According to the news agency, on July 8, the Georgian leadership compiled a list of five states with which communication is restored. Citizens of Germany, France, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia can freely arrive in the country.
