China declared a yellow level of weather danger due to heat
The National Meteorological Observatory announced a yellow level of weather danger due to high temperatures throughout the country, Xinhua News Agency reported on July 28. Since July 29, most of the districts of Sichuan, Yunnan, Hainan, Gansu, Ningxia, Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang will fall under the influence of high temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius, the National Meteorological Center said. In some areas, temperatures can reach 37 39 degrees Celsius, the center said. Meteorologists recommend that residents of these areas minimize activity on the street, and the authorities prepare for possible consequences.
