In general, the ban on crossing the border between Spain and France, introduced due to the coronavirus pandemic, lasted almost 100 days. Currently, there is active road traffic towards France at the Perthus crossing point. Most Spanish citizens go to their relatives in Occitania. The French traditionally go to Spain for purchases, as prices for a number of food products in this country are lower than in France. Earlier, the news agency reported 641 cases of infection with coronavirus detected in France. In total, more than 160,000 cases of infection have been detected in the country since the beginning of the pandemic, of which 29,633 people died. In Spain, 28,322 patients with detected coronavirus infection died during the pandemic.
