The number of victims of Cyclone Amphan in India increased to 80

At least 80 people were victims of Cyclone Amphan's strike on the Indian state of West Bengal. This was told on May 22 by the Chief Minister of the state Mamata Banerjee, her words quoted The Hindu. According to her, the number of victims included 61 people, from rural areas and 19 others, who died in Calcutta. It is also reported that the families of the victims will receive 250,000 rupees ($3.3 thousand), and a fund of 10 billion rupees ($133 million) will be established to restore the destruction of hectares of the state territory. It should be noted, according to the news agency, on May 21 it became known that urgent assistance in the amount of 1.6 million will be allocated by the European Union to India and Bangladesh to combat the consequences of the powerful cyclone Amphan.
