French President Emmanuel Macron has set up a research committee at the Elysee Palace, reports BFM TV. The Head of State creates a Research Analysis and Expertise Committee at the Elysee Palace, which brings together 12 experts and doctors who will be responsible for advising the Government on programmes and doctrines related to treatment and tests related to coronavirus. It is thanks to science and medicine that we will defeat the virus. Today I am bringing together our best researchers to make progress in diagnosis and treatment. Our efforts are fully mobilized in the fight against COVID-19, Emmanuel Macron tweeted. It is known that the committee will work with the participation of Prime Minister Edouard Philippe, Minister of Health Olivier Veran and Minister of Research Frederick Vidal. The Committee will, inter alia, monitor therapeutic studies permitted in France and trials conducted for treatment abroad. According to the news agency, earlier the authorities of France decided to tighten the rules of self-isolation in the hope of slowing the spread of coronavirus.
